When do we receive our course completion cards?

BEST CPR USA Course completion eCards are sent by email immediately at the end of class. We can also forward all eCards directly to a designated administrator. Healthcare Providers will be issued the American Heart Association eCard within 72 hours of class.

How long will my certification be valid?

All certification cards are valid for two years. Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) should be renewed annually.

Lost / Misplaced your CPR Card?

Often people send their cards to an alternative address, ie. work, school, or personal without realizing it. Please check your alternative emails, spam, or junk folders. If you still can't find it, please fill out the Lost Card Form.

Should we bring anything to class?

CPR and First Aid classes are active and engaging. Please wear comfortable clothes which allow freedom of movement and the ability to get down on your knees. If you have injuries or special needs, your instructor will be happy to adjust the training for you. You can make special requests in the notes section when registering for class.

Do you teach BLS - Healthcare Provider CPR?

We specialize in teaching BLS for Healthcare Providers. We also customize classes for medical and dental offices so your entire staff can learn to function as a critical care team and provide professional rescue until EMS arrives. Healthcare professionals include doctors, dentists, nurses, nursing students, EMTs, volunteer firefighters, CNA's, LMT's, midwives, and physical therapists.

Can kids and teenagers take classes with adults?

Absolutely! We have trained students as young as age seven and find they learn very well. Our instructors know how to keep kids engaged!

Can our group arrange a First Aid ONLY class or a CPR ONLY class?

Sure, if you already have First Aid or CPR certification and don't need the other, we will customize your class.

Do you teach how to use an AED - Automated External Defibrillator?

Yes - AED use is now a standard component of all CPR classes.

Who certifies BESTCPRUSA classes?

BESTCPRUSA follows the current guidelines recommended by ILCOR, the International Liason Committee on Resuscitation. BESTCPRUSA, American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and other national training associations rely on ILCOR to recommend best practices and to update the guidelines every 5 years. All of our courses also comply with Federal OSHA guidelines as well as state and local guidelines for workplace hands-on training. We offer American Heart Association course completion cards for an additional fee.

I've seen online courses in CPR, are they professional and accepted?

While online courses may provide an introduction to course content, CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) is a motor skill, not just a cognitive skill. Peforming CPR requires physical repetition to learn effective techniques and to practice cooperation with other rescuers. Most agencies and employers will not accept online-only training.
